Dear God, whether I get anything else done today, I want to make sure that I spend time loving You and loving other people- because that is what life is all about. I dont't want to waste this day. Amen.
I didn't realise that it was so deeply ingrained in me, but after reading yesterday's blog post I found that I was so focused on what makes me happy, and what I liked. I forgot that everything I do should actually be focused on what makes God happy. Because it is not all about me. Self-centeredness is difficult to get rid of :(
That said it's not that we shouldn't be happy or want be happy! The happy thing is that God wants us to be happy. It makes Him happy when we are happy and doing the things we like. But the starting point should always be Him la, not me.
I shall make a thankful list! For all the things I am thankful for today (:
1. Although I expected terrible results my results weren't all that bad after all (: THANK YOU GOD (:
2. Xinning is going to give me an ice cream treat because she got 20 marks for her summary and I didn't (:
3. Even though Mr Colman Chua didn't come today when I stayed back FIVE HOURS! for lessons I did some math homework and we set up A Book Club and had our first ever meeting today! :D
4. I bought my brother's birthday present (:
5. We had nice cheesecake for desert! (:
6. My brother's PSLE starts tomorrow so soon he will be as free as I am and my mother will be a lot happier (:
7. Sharyn lent me a nice Hillsong CD (:
